Philadelphia Eagles

The NFC Least?

chris klinknerSenior Writer IOctober 19, 2008

Not a bad weekend for Eagle fans. As I thought, one of the other three NFC East teams went down this weekend. Not sure anyone would have guessed that team would have been the Cowboys. But hey, all the better to see the 'Boys be the team to suffer the L.

Even though the Redskins and Giants were victorious, their wins were far from confidence builders. The G-Men struggled all day to put away the lowly 49ers (go figure, the 49ers had another TD off a blocked FG). The 'Skins needed the inept Browns to miss a last-second FG to avoid going to OT. Are we still sure that the NFC East is the best of the bunch?!?

So the Eagles now have some company in the three-loss category. And if you had to pick, I would rather be the Eagles moving forward. Dallas looks like they are about to explode. And the big trade this week, well, Roy Williams had zero catches! T.O. had a Greg Lewis-like two catches!

Time to make your move, Eagles. The division is still there for the taking. Yeah, the Giants are 5-1, but their upcoming schedule is absolutely brutal. The Nov. 9 game at the Linc looms huge.

A big week lies ahead Philly fans. The Eagles are back and back with a shot. Oh yeah, that World Series thing starts this week too! E-A-G-L-E-S! P-H-I-L-L-I-E-S!

Dallas, TX...
