Tottenham Should Never Have Let Martin Jol Go

Callum D'SouzaSenior Writer IOctober 20, 2008

Even though I'm an Arsenal fan, I don't want to see Tottenham relegated. I like to see Spurs battling with us, trying to get fourth place like in the 2005/2006 season, which I enjoyed purely because it was us vs them for fourth spot.

Tottenham performances this season probably made a few people physically sick and why not, they are yet to win a game in the league and their only decent performance was against Chelsea, in which a goal from in-form striker Darren Bent got them a point.

Tottenham have won in the Carling Cup and won twice in the UEFA this season but they have been dreadful in the Premier League and you have to think Ramos must go. Ramos should have bought a strong, well-known striker to make up for the losses of Robbie Keane and Dimitar Berbatov and I  believe they should never have let Defoe go to Portsmouth.

They also should never have let Martin Jol go, yes he was doing badly at the time, he was sacked but he is a good coach and even though he didn't really challenge Arsenal, he was a good coach and made Tottenham look like a real first class team
