Rams Staff: Scott Linehan To Have Four New Assistants in 2008

RealFootball365.comSenior Writer IJanuary 19, 2008

St. Louis coach Scott Linehan continues to remake his coaching staff, firing secondary coach Willy Robinson and running backs assistant Wayne Moses and hiring line coach Steve Loney.

Linehan hired former Tampa Bay running backs coach Art Valero last week and also gave Valero the title of assistant head coach.

Linehan previously fired line coach Paul Boudreau and is still looking for an offensive coordinator after stripping Greg Olson of those duties. Linehan has interviewed Cincinnati quarterbacks coach Ken Zamepese and Atlanta offensive coordinator Hue Jackson, and Cam Cameron and Brian Billick also are candidates.

Cameron is considered the top choice by most.

Commentary: Linehan had to do something to shake it up after the Rams went 3-13 in 2007. He will certainly be on the hot seat in 2008; and unless the Rams find some offensive linemen, it will probably be the end of the line for Linehan.

Fantasy Football Impact: None.
