Kevid Durant: Thunder Forward's Backpack the Key to Postseason Success?
You may not be able to shoot like him or go strong to the basket like he does. But you can at least put on the same gear he does.
Great news folks, soon you'll be able to buy your Kevin Durant backpack and wear it to your postgame press conferences.
Alright, forget about the pressers, you can do what normal people do with it: Take it to school, hiking or travel with it.
The Oklahoman reported on Nike's plans to release the KD backpack on their shelves:
Coming to a store near you — the KD backpack.
The accessory that will eventually hit shelves as part of the Thunder superstar's Nike KD III line has become all the rage during these playoffs. It's not just that Durant wears the backpack to every postgame press conference. He also leaves it on the entire time.
With all the straps buckled and tightened in front, he looks like he's ready to hike across campus to geometry class.
According to the Oklahoman, Durant has been using the backpack since Game 4 of the Thunder's opening round series against the Denver Nuggets. Now he keeps wearing it because it's been working for him.
Not only does it carry his cell phones, iPad, headphone and Bible but it also brings him good luck. They're still going strong in the postseason, after all.
Even though the Thunder are down 1-0 to the Dallas Mavericks in the Western Conference Finals, that lucky backpack may soon fuel a Thunder run.
Take that Dirk! You ain't got nothing on KD's backpack!
