Vikings-Bears: First Drive Observations

Kobina TaylorContributor IOctober 25, 2016

The Vikings completed a 5:42 drive totaling 67 yards to start the game with a touchdown.

I'm very encouraged by what I saw, including coach Brad Childress's decision to go for it on fourth down on the 1-yard line. Typically, we're used to seeing a lot of field goals, but it was nice to see some aggressiveness. Adrian Peterson looks strong today.

The Bears' first drive lasted 2:35 in going 54 yards and also ending with a touchdown.

The defense looked a little sluggish in the beginning. The last pass, a score to Greg Olsen right down the middle, probably could have been prevented, but the zone discipline was a little off. Getting pass rush today will be the key.
