NBA Draft Lottery Results: Utah Jazz Luck Out & Land 3rd Pick in 2011 NBA Draft
NBA Draft Lottery Results Land the No. 3 Pick in the 2011 NBA Draft With the Utah Jazz
The Utah Jazz went from mathematically getting the No. 6 pick to vaulting up to No. 3. All of a sudden they are in a prime position to alter the course of the draft. Assuming Kyrie Irving and Derrick Williams go 1-2 in some order, it's the Jazz that will dictate the rest of the draft. They received the pick from the New Jersey Nets in the Deron Williams deal, and also have the 12th overall pick based on their own regular season performance.
With Devin Harris firmly entrenched at the point and Derrick Favors likely to have a starting spot, the Jazz will have plenty of options. They can go with a big guy with a ton of potential like Enes Kanter or they could go for more of a sure thing in Jonas Valanciunas or Jan Vesely.
And with the 12th pick, fans are already salivating at the mouth with the opportunity to draft the one-and-only Jimmer Fredette. The BYU product would instantly become the face of the franchise and would infuse some much needed excitement into a stale Jazz franchise.
Exciting times ahead in Utah.
