2011 NBA Draft Lottery: Where Do the Utah Jazz Go with the Third Pick?
The 2011 NBA Draft Lottery Tuesday night will settle the draft order and make 2011 NBA Mock Drafts a lot easier to predict. Will your team get the coveted No. 1 pick and take Kyrie Irving? What are the chances for each team and can they buck the odds? Bleacher Report has the latest buzz on the 2011 NBA Draft Lottery, including pre-lottery predictions and post-lottery analysis.
Last year was a time of transition for the Utah Jazz.
It was a season that saw the loss of the franchise's legendary coach, Jerry Sloan and a trade that sent the team's best player, Deron Williams, to New Jersey. Now the Jazz have the third pick in the draft and their eyes have to be on a big man.
When you think about big men in the draft, the first name that comes to mind is Enes Kanter. This was someone who was supposed to play for Kentucky this season but was ruled ineligible by the NCAA. Kanter has a diverse skill set and he's not afraid to put his head down and really get physical in the paint.
Utah doesn't really have a dominant interior presence and doesn't really have a need for Kyrie Irving or Derrick Williams. Kanter fills a need and likely will be on the board after Cleveland and Minnesota make their selections.
The Jazz need some toughness and Kanter is just the guy to give it to them.
