2011 NBA Draft Lottery TV Schedule: Would Timberwolves Dare Pick Kyrie Irving?
2011 NBA Draft Lottery May Find Minnesota Timberwolves Selecting Another Point Guard in Kyrie Irving
The 2011 NBA Draft Lottery Tuesday night will settle the draft order and make 2011 NBA Mock Drafts a lot easier to predict. Will your team get the coveted No. 1 pick and take Kyrie Irving? What are the chances for each team and can they buck the odds? Bleacher Report has the latest buzz on the 2011 NBA Draft Lottery, including pre-lottery predictions and post-lottery analysis.
The Minnesota Timberwolves have the best chance of landing the top pick at 25 percent in the 2011 NBA Draft Lottery. If they land the No. 1 or No. 2 pick in the draft they will have the opportunity to select the best point guard in the draft Kyrie Irving.
What's the problem here?
The fact the T-Wolves already have a quarter of their roster filled with point guards, that's why. Two years ago they picked two of them in the top six with Ricky Rubio and Jonny Flynn. Add Sebastian Telfair and Luke Ridnour into the mix and there is a ton of them.
So let's say they land the No. 2 pick and Derrick Williams is selected No. 1. Would the T-Wolves go with another point guard?
It's a scary question for Minnesota fans that could become a reality with inept GM David Kahn. But he could use the can't miss guard as trade bait for more help up front. In a weak draft after the top two...it's a strong possibility.
