NFL Lockout: Stay Granted Means We Wait for 8th Circuit Appeals Court
NFL Lockout Rages On As Stay Is Officially Granted
The news of this, while not altogether shocking, it is accompanied with an interesting tweet from ESPN's Adam Schefter as he tweets, "Owners now have the leverage. This is a complete win for the owners. Players are in trouble, based on judge's words in this ruling."
Now we have the owners sitting firmly in control of this situation as we wait for the appeal hearings to begin on June 3 (via Ralph Vacchiano).
As the lockout continues, more and more things will get murkier and crazier.
Owners and players alike have gotten a bit antsy in some instances and while we have had a lull in NFL news since the draft, we will now have to wait about a month for things to substantially get started.
This puts the start of training camp clearly in jeopardy and that means players could start missing real paychecks; that is when things will start to develop with a sense of urgency.
We'll continue to hear all about this for the next day, but plain and simple, the owners got a win here.
