WWE: What Is the Card Looking Like for Over the Limit? [Spoiler Alert]
WWE Is Gearing Up for another Pay-Per-View, But How is the Card Looking in the Wake of Extreme Rules?
As of late, WWE pay-per-views haven't been the most exciting events ever and the buy rates reflect the lack of enthusiasm for the product, except for some of the bigger events like WrestleMania.
However, now that we're through this week's SmackDown tapings, the card is shaping up quite nicely.
WWE Champion John Cena vs. The Miz in an I Quit Match.
World Champion Randy Orton vs. Christian.
WWE Intercontinental champion Wade Barrett vs. Ezekiel Jackson.
R-Truth vs. Rey Mysterio.
Jerry Lawler vs. Michael Cole.
I love both championship matches, even if the stipulation is a bit weak in the Cena match. I only want that match to happen so we can put this feud to bed and move on to a different title program on Raw.
Obviously, the match that we're all looking forward to is the match between Randy Orton and Christian. This is program that is really going to carry SmackDown and give us a reason to tune in every Friday night.
These are two great workers in the prime of their careers and we're going to get some awesome matches from these two and it's going to inject some energy into a show that has been sapped of it thanks to the recent draft.
Also, I'm very intrigued by the match with R-Truth and Rey Mysterio. I'm liking the heel turn by R-Truth and it's given his character new life and created a new heel other than The Miz and CM Punk.
This could be a great mid-card feud for a couple of months and give the WWE's pay-per-view's a bit more depth.
I haven't been a huge fan of the recent cards on the pay-per-views but Over the Limit is shaping up quite nicely.
