WWE: Who Is Tyson Kidd's New Manager [Spoiler Alert]
WWE Is Giving Tyson Kidd A Manager, But Which Company Legend Is It?
Remember the days of the manager?
Back in the day, we used to have guys like Jimmy Hart and Bobby Heenan, guys who would be talkers for heels and really help drive their characters and get a lot of heat from the crowd. These guys are living legends and helped form some of the greatest talents of all time.
We even had valets like Sunny and Terri, who were plenty of eye candy for other stars as well. Those days have gone away, until now. Tyson Kidd was given a manager on Superstars and it's not someone you'd exactly expect.
Tyson Kidd was accompanied by Michael Hayes during tonight's WWE Superstars taping in Nashville, Tenn. He faced Trent Barreta.
Hayes reigns as the head creative writer for the SmackDown brand.
Does anyone other than me see this as a major conflict of interest? We're talking about a guy who makes the decisions about SmackDown, and he's got a vested interest in Tyson Kidd's career.
It is going to be interesting to see how it develops from here, but I'm not comfortable with the idea of the creative team getting involved in characters.
Kidd is someone with a lot of potential, but if he gets his push, a lot of people backstage are going to put two-and-two together and resent him for being seen as a pet project of a high-ranking member of the creative team.
It's a risky road to travel down if you're Hayes. Furthermore, how is he even relevant at this juncture of his career?
How many fans really know who Michael Hayes and and all of the things he did during his legendary career? This is a new generation of fans and if you're going to give him a manager, it should have been someone the crowd can connect to.
None of this makes sense to me.
