WWE: The Latest on John Morrison's Condition After Neck Injury
WWE Has Been Rocked by the Loss of John Morrison After a Neck Injury
Losing John Morrison was a huge blow to the Raw brand.
Morrison is a fan favorite, especially with his wrestling style, and just as he was about to get involved in a major program with R-Truth, he goes down with a neck injury that's going to put him on the shelf for some time.
The star went through surgery and now he's on the road to recovery after the procedure.
RAW superstar John Morrison will be out of action between 4-6 weeks after undergoing surgery on Monday to alleviate pain caused by a pinched nerve in his neck.
Here’s what JoMo wrote on Twitter following the procedure:
“One time my dad awoke from anesthesia and went right into telling jokes about a soy protein bar…”
“…I was hoping to wake up from anestesia & make a joke like my dad…instead I just mumbled some crap to @RealMelina about a juice box”
“Surgery went well- the RN said I now hold the juice box record! I drank 14 tiny juice boxes be4 they said: “maybe u should drink water now”"
Now call me crazy, but I know juice boxes, and 14 is a whole lot of juice, especially for one man.
Either way, at least this isn't neck surgery like the one that sidelined Edge or Stone Cold Steve Austin during their careers, and it will get Morrison back in the ring sooner rather than later, which is great for the company and fans alike.
I'm sure by then, R-Truth will be done his program with Rey Mysterio and then these two guys can pick up where they left off.
R-Truth is picking up steam as a heel and it's good to see him start to come into his own on the mic, especially after having such a stale character.
Maybe Morrison can spend this time working on his mic skills, because those are sorely lacking and that, combined with some backstage heat, has likely kept Morrison out of the title picture on Raw.
