Chad Ochocinco to Try Bull Riding During Lockout, But What's Left For Bengals Wideout to Try After That?

Cincinnati Bengals wideout Chad Ochocinco has taken a rather unorthodox route to keeping himself entertained during the NFL's lockout. First, there was the ill-fated soccer tryout with Sporting KC, in which Ocho failed to impress after more than a decade off the pitch.

Now, the eccentric receiver is trying another new sport: bull riding.

Yes. You read that right; Ocho is planning to attempt to ride a bull in competition this weekend. The wideout is accepting a challenge from Professional Bull Riders chief executive Sean Gleason to ride in this weekend's Lucas Oil Invitational in Duluth.

If he can do it, Ocho will get $10,000. If he stays on for the required eight seconds, PBR will give him a new Ford F-150 truck and let him rename the bull.

Per Gleason's challenge:

"Bull riding is a much different sport and climbing on the back of a bull in the chutes takes a little more than Twitter confidence, let alone calling for the gate [to open]."

But, while the potential stupidity factor of Ocho deciding to climb on a bull is much higher than the factor he showed in his soccer tryout (seriously, has someone told him it's not a mechanical bull?), it does beg the question: after bull riding, what's left for Ocho to do?

He's sure to get bored again at some point, and when he does, you can bet he'll try something new. Maybe he'll try Indy Car racing before the Indy 500 later this month, or join a NASCAR pit crew for a while. He could always take up professional bowling, or make like Tony Romo and try to qualify for the U.S. Open.

Maybe he'll try to take part in the Scripps-Howard National Spelling Bee this summer (even though he's clearly well over the age limit). Maybe he'll take to the water, looking for thrills in a bit of water polo, or race motocross. Maybe he'll jump in Grave Digger and hit a few monster truck rallies.

Or, he could try being something he has yet to be, in all his years of ridiculous antics and off the wall stunts: a consistent, capable wide receiver who is focused on becoming a better football player, rather than trying to stay in the spotlight.
