Rolston Up, Rolston Down

Brian Rolston did his job! For the first time since rejoining the New Jersey Devils, Rolston scored a goal! On the power play, no less! And hey, it turned out to be the decisive score, as the Devils worked out a 1-0 win over Atlanta.

But about halfway through the third, Rolston left with an ankle sprain. He'll probably be out at least a couple of weeks. This is a giant blow to the Devils' early season.

Petr Vrana will probably get some ice time now and Rod Pelley or Nicklas Bergfors may even make appearances. Boy oh boy is this a stinger. Rolston was the prize of the offseason for Jersey and this significantly downgrades their offense. And it's not like their offense could get much worse to begin with...
