The Boston Red Sox are anxiously awaiting Game 5 on this overcast night in Boston. Many local and ESPN sports reporters have mentioned the history of the Red Sox being down in the ALCS. Sorry Rays fans, but the World Series matchup will not be decided tonight.

Daisuke Matsuzaka goes up against Scott Kazmir tonight, who last pitched on October 3rd against the Chicago White Sox. Matsuzaka last pitched on October 10th, the first game against the Rays.

The bats of David Ortiz, Jacoby Ellsbury and Captain Jason Varitek have been virtually silent in the ALCS, each of them hitting hitting .071, .000, and .000, respectively. If only everyone could hit .467 like Dustin Pedroia.

In order to win this game, Daisuke needs to shut down the hot bats of Willy Aybar and Carl Crawford, both of whom are hitting .500. Expect Francona to go to either Masterson or Okajima, and obviously Papelbon to close out the game.

Good luck Red Sox.
