Cleveland Cavaliers Take Derrick Williams With The 2nd Pick In The 2011 NBA Draft
Considered by most to be the top prospect in the 2011 NBA Draft, Derrick Williams will definitely not see his name drop any lower than the No. 2 spot to the Cleveland Cavaliers.
While the Cavs immediate needs are elsewhere, they’ll be bound to taking the best available player at No. 2 and if the Minnesota Timberwolves select Kyrie Irving at No. 1, then their guy is Williams.
Compared to a young Richard Jefferson, Willaims is a young, athletic 6’7” player that is known for his game-changing abilities.
He is a force on the offensive end, but gets great acclaim for the defense that was on display throughout the entire NCAA tournament.
Numbers similar to the 32 point, 13 rebound effort he put up against Duke, Williams will certainly be apart of the bright future for the Cavs will continue his dominance into the NBA.
