1. Leandro Barbosa(SG)
This offseason had to be Barbosa's worst nightmare when Mike D'Antoni moved on to the City that never sleeps.
Barbosa thrived offensively under D'Antoni, but with new head coach Terry Porter that might not be the case. Porter won’t hesitate to use a defensive player instead of Barbosa if he doesn’t improve his defense dramatically.
Be sure to keep a close eye to see what role Barbosa will play this year under head coach Terry Porter.
2. Marcus Camby/Chris Kaman(C)
Both had tremendous years last year. Camby led the league in blocks and was second in the league in rebounds. Kaman was third in the league in rebounds and in blocks per game, as well as averaging a double double.
However, in Denver, Camby was the primary rebounder and shot blocker. How will these two big men co-exist? Both men's rebounding numbers will surely drop. Who is going to fall first, and drop in value to a number 2 center?
3. Hedo Turkoglu(SF)
Going into the 2007-08 season, Hedo was an average fantasy player. However, during the 07-08 year he came out of no where and played like an All-Star. He averaged career highs in points, rebounds, assists, and FG%.
Don't expect Turkoglu to duplicate his numbers from last year. The signing of Mickael Pietrus can't help his value. Don't make the mistake of drafting Turkoglu that high in your drafts, or it could come back to haunt you.
4. Jamario Moon(SF)
Moon had to be the feel good story out of the NBA last year. After all these years finally getting his chance to play in the NBA and shockingly he produced.
However, there is talk that Jason Kapano could take his spot in the starting lineup for the Toronto Raptors. If that is to happen, Moon's fantasy value will plummet.
5. Richard Jefferson(SF)
Jefferson did average a career high in points last year (22.7), but that was playing alongside Jason Kidd. Now he will see what life is like in Milwaukee, and not getting the luxury of playing with a Hall of Fame type point guard in Jason Kidd. That could mean a drop in fantasy value. Keep an eye on him.
