The NBA playoffs roll on today. The question everyone is asking is whether this will be the end for the Los Angeles Lakers. Down 3-0 in their series with the Dallas Mavericks, Kobe Bryant and company have one last chance to keep their season alive.

The Lakers have been the big surprise of this round after falling on their faces in back-to-back home losses. Ron Artest returns from suspension as they try to avoid the first sweep of Phil Jackson’s coaching career.

Whether the Lakers survive today or not, history says they won’t be making it to the next round.

What does that mean for this edition of the Laker dynasty? Will Pau Gasol jump ship? How many years does Kobe Bryant have left as a player who can carry a championship team?

Later on tonight, the Eastern Conference playoffs also move along with Game 4 between the Chicago Bulls and Atlanta Hawks. After the Bulls' Derrick Rose’s 44-point explosion in Game 3, can the Hawks find an answer for the MVP, or will the Bulls push them to the brink of elimination?

Read on for all the latest buzz on today’s action and a look at what may happen as the NBA playoffs continue.
