Pacquiao vs. Mosley Live Blog: Pacquiao Knocks Down Mosley
Round-by-Round analysis of the Manny Pacquiao vs. Shane Mosley fight available here.
Pacquiao dropped Shane Mosley in the third round to earn a knockdown; the first time Mosley has been knocked down since 2002 when he fought the late Vernon Forrest!
He already succeeded in dropping the four-time world champion, which Mayweather couldn't do over 12 rounds. That is an amazing achievement in it's own right, and the fight just started!
It's following Pacquiao's performances over former Mayweather opponents Ricky Hatton and Oscar De La Hoya. If it goes down that route, expect a stoppage sooner or later; something that Mosley has never had to deal with in his 18-year career.
The fourth and fifth rounds are Pacquiao's, but Mosley took the little bit of extra momentum away from the pound-for-pound star when he got the knockdown.
Lets not forget Pacquiao also knocked down Marquez in the third round of their bout, and he only managed to win a close split-decision.
Second half of the fight begins, and he's behind on the cards. There is no doubt about that.
