Pacquiao vs. Mosley Results: Pacquiao Drops Mosley in Third Round
Manny Pacquiao just knocked down Shane Mosley for only the third time in Mosley's career with a straight left hand here in the third round. Showtime analyst Al Bernstein just noted that Pacquuiao was not exhibiting any lateral movement that you usually see in his fights and instead is fighting in a straight line.
Well, Pacquiao walked the line and came in and split Mosley's glove with a straight left hand that put Mosley on his seat. The punch hit on the left side of Mosley's face close to the ear, and it put him in trouble. Mosley took the count and there were still 62 seconds left in the bout, but the veteran Mosley worked his way out of hit, hanging on, slowing down Pacquiao and letting the cobwebs clear a little bit.
The bigger problem, though, is it appears from the middle of the second around that Mosley had lost some enthusiasm from the first round.
