Roy Williams to Philadelphia: Not Happening

chris klinknerSenior Writer IOctober 14, 2008

Save your wishes, Eagle fans. Roy Williams isn't coming to Philly. Despite rumors that the Detroit Lions are actively shopping all players, none of those players are coming to Philadelphia.

With Reggie Brown and Kevin Curtis both likely to return against the Falcons, the Eagles suddenly have a log jam at the WR position.

Which of the six receivers sits against the Falcons? Going by stats, the odd man out just might be Jason Avant. But, here's a better idea: none of our tight ends can catch or block. How about just sitting one of them?

And go figure that the Eagles continue to struggle with identifying Thomas Tapeh's replacement at FB. Tapeh himself can't even get on the field in Minnesota.

Where can I comment?
