Serena Williams Latest Outfit is More Miss Than Hit

Serena Williams can always be counted on to make a splash. You have to commend her courage to extend herself well into the fashion world.

Now I don't know much about fashion, but I know what hurts my eyes. This latest outfit is just another example of the reason Serena Williams should not be picking out her own wardrobe.

The tennis star took to the Met Gala on Monday. She was joined by other hot women, Rihanna and Gisele Bundchen.

However, their gowns added to their beauty. Williams dress takes her elegance and takes it out back for the Ol' Yeller treatment.

The full picture of this god awful dress can be seen here. As you can see, it doen't get much better the farther down you go. It almost looks like she pasted a bunch of exploded swans to the bottom of her gown.

The hat is what really caught my eye. I am glad she chose to wear the loudest thing possible on her dome.

This outfit plus her hot pick Lycra suit have to go down as the worst fashion choices of the year. Amazing when both stemmed from the same person.

Miami Heat Center Chris Bosh Sues VH-1 Show 'Basketball Wives'

Miami Heat big man Chris Bosh was a no show in game one of the Heat's first game of their second round match-up with the Boston Celtics.

The Heat won that game, but they sure could use some of the fire and passion Bosh is taking to the world of reality television.

The Hollywood Reporter states Bosh has had quite enough of the VH-1 show, Basketball Wives, for using his likeness and "life rights" without his consent.

The suit claims Allison Mathis and producer Shed Media as co-defendants. The reason is spelled out in the lawsuit as such: 

The use of Plaintiff's name by Defendants is primarily commercial and not communicative. Further, the show, 'Basketball Wives,'  is not transformative, but rather the use, depiction, or imitation of celebrity NBA basketball players, including Plaintiff, is the very sum and substance of the show.

Essentially, Bosh is tired of the show referring to Bosh and tying his name to the show as if he had any say whatsoever.

His argument that the show does not offer anything other than providing a platform for women that are presented as "basketball wives." That is the main point of the show, and it does not take into account that Chris Bosh and many other athletes are not involved in any way.

The show is more a collection of women that once dated, or are former wives of NBA players. Yet the selling point of the show is the namesake of the players that play or used to play in the NBA.

It is a clever way to call out the show for not providing what it promises. Most of the cast has but a tenuous tie to the NBA and its famous stars.

It is hard to say if the lawsuit has legs, but I am thoroughly intrigued. I always found that Basketball Wives was a silly name, especially when a good amount of the characters are not married to basketball players.

Manny Pacquiao Will Walk Out with Hip-Hop Artist Rick Ross

Manny Pacquiao is only a few days out from his latest bout. He will take on Shane Mosley at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas on Saturday.

The best pound-for-pound fighter in the world will again take to the ring and entertain fans with his stifling defense and lightening quick hands. I hope we see the best that Mosley has on Saturday.

If not, this may be a very quick fight. There really is no other fighter that can match wits with Manny Pacquiao. It is a bit much to ask Mosley to shock the world with a victory, I just hope he makes it interesting.

There will be a different look to Pacquaio when he enters the ring on Saturday. The Philippine pugilist will walk into the ring with some hip-hop flavor.

HipHopBlog.com reports that Manny will traverse the ring walk with hip-hop superstar Rick Ross. That is pretty big news considering Ross is rivals with fellow artist 50 Cent.

50 Cent on the other hand is good friends with Floyd Mayweather. I am done looking for legitimate reasons for these two to fight.

The Mayweather vs. Pacquiao brawl seems to make perfect sense to everyone in the world except Mayweather himself.

This is just another reason for the two to pick up the gloves and enter the ring together. Even the hip-hop world is choosing sides now.

The report states that Manny's friend in the corner, Buboy Fernandez, has championed Ross' Maybach Music brand. Manny and Ross have also worked on Nike's "Boom" campaign together.

So the relationship makes sense. What doesn't make sense is that Pacquiao and Mayweather may never meet in the ring, and that is a travesty.

Jordin Sparks to Open Kentucky Derby With National Anthem 

It is going to be a great week for American Idol winner Jordin Sparks. The singer is set to open the 2011 Kentucky Derby on Saturday, May 7th.

She will open up the celebration by singing the National Anthem. Sparks is no stranger to the bright lights of sporting events. Her father is former New York Giants cornerback Phillippi Sparks. Number 22 should be quite proud of his daughter.

She has carved quite the career for herself. Sparks has already released two albums since winning on the hit show, American Idol.

The hits keep coming for Jordin. She recently released a Twitter photo showing her new bikini body. As you can see, she is all set for summer.

It is a good thing she is in excellent shape. This summer will see her taking to the stage along the New Kids on the Block and Backstreet Boys. NKOTB should be recognizable to her old man. They were rocking out when he was still playing ball. I doubt that was the locker room music though.

Before all of that excitement gets underway, Sparks will sing at the Kentucky Derby, the most fashionable party in sports.

Coverage starts live on NBC at 4pm ET. I will be watching to see what the new-look Jordin Sparks will be wearing.

Kim Kardashian Shows off Hot Bikini Body at Mexico Vacation

I love being the bearer of great news.

Kim Kardashian recently took a trip to Mexico with her family as well as her boyfriend, New Jersey Nets star Kris Humphries.

The Kardashians were in Mexico to celebrate Kourtney Kardashian's 32nd birthday. I guess Chuck E. Cheese was booked solid. The fact that they chose a hot locale is amazing news to us sports fans.

The hottest NBA girlfriend was showing off all her curves as she and Kris frolicked in the Mexican sun. The Daily Mail has a rundown of the hottest shots of the vacation. You can see them in all their glory here.

Now I have the conundrum of picking my favorite shot on the list. I welcome your suggestions, but nothing trumps the epic booth shot. You could terraform there if we end up running out of resources on this planet.

Kris Humphries may be stuck on a drifting franchise, but he is the luckiest man in sports. The two look absolutely enamored with one another. I have to think it is only a matter of time before we are talking about a pending NBA wedding.

And really, what is Kris Humphries waiting for? Maybe he needs to take another look at these pictures. Perhaps then he will run to the nearest Tiffany's to buy the biggest rock they have.

Doug Flutie's Daughter, Alexa Flutie Dons Patriots Cheerleader Uniform

I am sure it is every father's dream that his child would take up the torch once his days of wheeling and dealing are done. Doug Flutie should be all smiles today as news that his kid will soon be performing in the NFL.

Alexa Flutie, the beautiful daughter of NFL legend Doug Flutie, will soon be a member of the New England Patriots cheerleading squad.

The 23-year-old is the reigning Miss Massachusetts. That means she is hot and talented, but I will stick with the hot qualification from here on out.

Flutie isn't the only sports offspring to scintillate the NFL sidelines next season. St. Louis Cardinals' manager, Tony La Russa, has a daughter with spirit to share.

Bianca La Russa will be cheering for the Oakland Raiders squad in 2011. I think it goes without saying that Alexa Flutie has a much easier task going forward.

It is extremely difficult to find anything to cheer for during a Raiders game. Perhaps they can get a cheer going if the Raiders keep a team to under 21 points. That might light up the Black Hole.

All of this news means I will have an eye on the cheer squads going into the new season. Actually, this is the same no matter the season.

Rashard Mendenhall Twitter Comments Forces Owner Art Rooney to Respond

The recent news that Osama Bin Laden had been captured and killed sparked a hailstorm of activity on the usual social media sites.

It seemed anyone with a Twitter profile had an opinion on the news that Bin Laden was indeed dead. Steelers running back Rashard Mendenhall, was no different. Mendenhall had some views that we will go ahead and say were not that popular with many Americans.

The two tweets to really catch the eye of sports fans everywhere were the following:

What kind of person celebrates death? It's amazing how people can HATE a man" they have never even heard speak. We've only heard one side…

We'll never know what really happened. I just have a hard time believing a plane could take down a skyscraper demolition style

The fallout has been huge. Fans are left to scratch their head as to what Mendenhall could have been thinking. This is the worst measure of the temperature in the room ever.

Steelers president Art Rooney II had to speak as football fans are calling for Mendenhall's head. His made an official statement on the team's website.

I have not spoken with Rashard so it is hard to explain or even comprehend what he meant with his recent Twitter comments. The entire Steelers' organization is very proud of the job our military personnel have done and we can only hope this leads to our troops coming home soon.

So far, Mendenhall has made no apology for his uninformed comments. Of course, there is freedom of speech afforded to all. That does not mean you can sidestep the repercussion for what you say.

It is time for Mendenhall to own up to the fact that he was greatly misinformed in his remarks. It would do the Steelers organization well.

Patenema Ouedraogo Arrested for Stalking Serena Williams

Stalkers are serious business. You never know what lies in the heart of someone crazy enough to devote their life to following a specific person.

The even scarier part is that celebrities and those susceptible to stalkers are much more visible than they once were.

Serena Williams is the most recent example of a star who intrigued the wrong person. Patenema Ouedraogo was arrested on Tuesday morning for stalking Williams. He was caught right outside her Palm Beach Gardens home in Florida.

Gone are the days when you can completely hide away from the public. At some point, the paparazzi will find you. That is not what happened here, though.

The L.A. Times described what lead Ouedraogo directly to Williams.

The man, 40-year-old Patenema Ouedraogo of Texas, was arrested at 2 a.m., according to the police, and allegedly said he followed Williams on Twitter, which helped him know when she was in Florida.

As celebs and sports stars become more visible through avenues such as Twitter, it is only natural that some loons will use it for nefarious reasons.

Now these stars have another worry as they tweet what they just ate for lunch. Don't you just love the human race sometimes?

You should be able to market your name and personality to fans without the fear of somebody following you all over the country.

I guess all you can hope for now is that you attract very lazy stalkers that would rather stay home than travel to Florida.

Gisele Bundchen Supports Husband Tom Brady and Long-Hair Look

Gisele Bundchen and her husband, New England Patriots superstar Tom Brady, took to the red carpet at the annual Met Gala Monday evening.

People magazine caught up with the model and asked her about Tom Brady's hair. I believe you never bring up such an obvious sore subject.

You would never ask a person about a horrible scar or deformity. Yes, that is what I am lumping Brady's ponytail in with.

She was much more supportive than I could ever have been.

That’s his choice. He does what he wants. I love him no matter what — short, bald, fat. It’s all good. It’s all good.

There is a time and place for free will, Gisele, and this is not one of them. You are a model for crying out loud. Your job is to look good for a living.

You can't show up to parties with that hanging on your arm. Brady is a wonderful football player. The pony tail just doesn't fit him. It looks too much like a dead raccoon sitting on his head, and less like a suave hair style of a Super Bowl champion.

I don't mind a man flossing how he wants to floss, but this is silly. I keep asking who the doofus is that Gisele Bundchen is hanging out with. Well, at least he isn't dancing.

Hayden Panettiere Appears on 'Good Day LA' Friday Morning

Hayden Panettiere is one busy woman lately. She released a new movie last Friday, Hoodwinked Too. She featured in the music video that coincides with the film.

If that weren't enough, she is dating a man that is roughly 14 times bigger than she is. Yes, the diminutive actress is still dating heavyweight boxer Wladimir Klitschko. There a ton of questions that I need answered right now.

But I don't want to talk about her freakishly huge boxing boyfriend. I want to discuss what Hayden Panettiere chose to wear on the set of Good Day LA last Friday.

While trying to sell her new family movie, Panettiere rocked a see-through shirt, clearly making her bra visible. The sight actually allowed me to ignore the Hillary Clinton hairdo she was rocking. I guess the Secretary of State look is in this Spring.

You can see many more photos of Panettiere and her skin here. As you can see, the shirt is really just a suggestion of coverage. You can pretty much see everything underneath. I am going to guess that Hayden is trying to take that leap from cute actress to sexy leading lady.

I am here to say that I am all ears. I will listen, and watch, any arguments you have on the subject Hayden. Actually, I retract that. I don't need to draw the ire of the biggest man on earth, Wladimir Klitschko.

Randy Moss' Daughter Sydney Commits to Florida Gators

Randy Moss is deep into the tail end of his career. His prima donna act has taken us on a wild ride since 1998. So as his career hits the denouement, another Moss will pick up the torch.

Randy Moss' daughter Sydney Moss has decided on the school she will bring her basketball talents to. ESPN reports Moss has verbally committed to the Florida Gators as part of the 2012 recruiting class.

Moss stands at 5-foot-11, making her a full inch taller than myself. In other news, I am thinking of getting lifts for my shoes.

She averaged 22.6 points and 10.8 rebounds per game at Boone County High School in her junior year. That was good enough to get her on the ESPNU HoopGurlz 100 Watch List.  She is also a two-time member of the Louisville Courier-Journal's all-state team.

Moss told ESPN that her decision was rather simple.

I've always kind of been a Florida fan. Not just in basketball, but in football, too. When I took my visit in early April, I just felt like I was at home. It was like I belonged there.

It seems pops gave her a great many of his physical attributes. She is as gifted athletically as you can hope for. Now lets hope the similarities stop there. I don't want to see Sydney bounce around to three teams like her dad did last year.
