NFL Draft 2012: Janoris Jenkins to Skip Supplemental Draft and Transfer?
NFL Draft 2012 Here's Janoris Jenkins Might Be Joining the Class Once Again
Janoris Jenkins opted to go back to Florida rather than enter the 2011 NFL draft and unfortunately that didn't out the way he planned.
Jenkins was dismissed from the Florida football team after his second marijuana-related arrest in three months; he was a starter for three years prior.
He has good size, good instincts but some analysts have questioned his timed speed.
A proven playmaker around the football, Jenkins was rated very highly prior making his return to Florida.
After being dismissed from the team the most logical option was the NFL supplemental draft typically held in July.

Now, with the NFL lockout leaving the supplemental draft in limbo, Jenkins has a lot to think about.
According Len Pasquarelli of the Sports Xchange, and he quotes a few sources, he is considering transferring to a lower division.
However, two sources on Monday said Jenkins is leaning toward delaying his entry into the NFL, and that he may prefer to rehabilitate his image before attempting a pro career. 'It's about 50-50 right now that he tries to find a [college] place to play and convince scouts that he's really serious about an NFL career,' said one of the sources.
This is an interesting situation to keep an eye on because he could undoubtedly be an NFL player this year as a cornerback needy-team with lower standards would definitely take a chance on him.
He's got a lot of maturing to do and I actually think he return to college might be his smartest move.
If he can stay hungry, prove he is willing to make a change and get better, he could still salvage some of his draft stock.
Jenkins hasn't signed with any agent yet, so anything is still possible.
