Zack Greinke will make his debut with the Brewers on Wednesday, May 4 against the Atlanta Braves, according to the Milwaukee organization.
The 2009 American League Cy Young winner has been recovering from a cracked rib he suffered while playing pickup basketball during Spring Training.
Greinke will be limited to around 90 pitches in his first major league start since going on the disabled list.
On Friday, Greinke made the last of his three rehab starts in the minor leagues, throwing 75 pitches over five innings for Triple-A Nashville.
Greinke will join a Brewer starting lineup that has accumulated 16 quality starts and a 10-6 record over 27 games this season.
With Greinke returning, the Brewers will likely send Marco Estrada, who will pitch against the Braves on Tuesday night, down to Triple-A to open up a roster spot.
