Denver Broncos Draft Picks Star New Era Off Right
1st: Von Miller (OLB) Texas A&M
2nd: Rahim Moore (S) UCLA
2nd: Orlando Franklin (OG) Miami
3rd: Nate Irving (ILB) NC State
4th: Quinton Carter (S) Oklahoma
4th: Julius Thomas (TE) Portland St
6th: Mike Mohamed (ILB) California
7th: Virgil Green (TE) Nevada
7th: Jeremy Beal (DE) Oklahoma
GRADE: A-
Picking second overall and landing a unbelievable prospect in Von Miller helps, but the Broncos really had a great haul this year.
Miller is a star in the making and his athleticism will be a tremendous asset against excellent runners like Darren McFadden and Jamaal Charles, and the great passing attack in San Diego.

But don't overlook the picks they made in later rounds. Rahim Moore is by far the best free safety in this draft and will improve both phases of the terrible Broncos defense. And selecting Jeremy Beal in the seventh round is an absolute steal: he may prove to be an elite pass rusher in John Fox's scheme.
On the offensive side of the ball, they made some nice acquisitions, especially with Orlando Franklin who will have an immediate impact in that huddle, even if Tim Tebow isn't pleased to see a Hurricane in there. And adding two tight ends--clearly their most pressing need on offense--will be a great asset for Tebow or Kyle Orton or Brady Quinn or John Elway if he decides to come down from the owners box.
