Greg Romeus to New Orleans Saints: 2011 NFL Draft Scouting Report

Greg Romeus had one of the most decorated junior seasons in Pitt’s history, garnering Big East Co-Defensive Player of the Year honors, First Team All-Big East honors and named to three different All-American teams.

Unfortunately for Romeus and the Panthers, his senior season wasn’t so dazzling.

Romeus played just two games in 2010 and is coming off a torn ACL, an injury that serves as big a red flag as any to NFL scouts.

Still, Romeus has proved he has elite skills and will be a stud in the league if he can bounce back.

The Saints get great value with this pick. If Romeus can stay healthy, he has the talent to be an elite pass-rusher in the NFL.
