Richard Sherman to Seattle Seahawks: 2011 NFL Draft Scouting

Richard Sherman is a tall, lanky cornerback who played a lot of wide receiver during his time on The Farm.

If I had to give an NFL comparison, I'd link him to someone like Antonio Cromartie, a 6'2" plus player with long strides who could have problems with shifting his hips at the next level.

I thought he'd be a seventh-rounder or a priority UFA, but Pete Carroll has shown he loves him some Pac-10 skill position players.

Being so lean will make living a life on special teams a little more difficult for Sherman than other players, but could figure in as a gunner.

If he makes the final 45, he'll figure in as a rotational DB in his rookie season (and maybe some red zone plays at wideout?).
