UFC 129 Results: Georges St-Pierre vs. Jake Shields for Welterweight Belt, Rd. 3
I'm not really sure what to tell you—we're basically getting round after round of the same thing.
Georges St-Pierre is picking Jake Shields apart on the feet using his hyper-effective jab and mixing in a few kicks for variety along with some right hooks. Meanwhile, Shields game plan has been to edge in with a few jabs and a tentative kick.
Rinse and repeat.
Jake has landed a few left kicks to St-Pierre's body and manged to get some swelling started under GSP's eye, but that might've only angered Rush as he roughly chucks the challenger to the ground and finishing the third round on top of his adversary.
The first hint of trouble might be brewing as there's a mousing started under his left eye and the champ bemoans the fact to his corner who start their inter-round therapy. Another easy 10-9 round for GSP.
Even so, there's the first ray of light for Shields' camp.
