Dejon Gomes to Washington Redskins: 2011 NFL Draft Scouting Report

A tad undersized at 5'11, DeJon Gomes was one of the best JC products in the country in 2009 coming out of City College of San Francisco.

Though not an elite athlete, Gomes showed an innate ability to make plays and be around the ball, making seven interceptions in 23 career games.

While it's a little bit surprising that Gomes would go in the fifth round to the 'Skins, one of the team's priorities was to add depth in the secondary.

Gomes will be an added value on special teams as a rookie and could work into the mix at safety.
