The 2011 NFL draft results have continued to roll in today, as teams are in the midst of blowing through Rounds 4 through 7.
But, as the draft itself draws to a close, fans' focus shifts from who their favorite teams are going to pick and on to whether those picks are actually useful, smart or promising.
Did a team fill its needs? Did they find late-round values on the board or grab the perfect player for their system? Or did they manage to accomplish little more than baffling pundits, fans (and possibly current players) by taking players who don't really fit or weren't deserving of where they were chosen?
We're breaking down the best and worst picks of the 2011 NFL draft, analyzing the teams who have substantially improved their chances for next season, as well as those who missed their chance to do so. We'll be telling you who got just what they needed, who found the best values (Tampa Bay remain early contenders) and who managed to botch this draft in a big way (the jury's still out on that one, but there are plenty of contenders for that title).
So, practice your Chris Berman impression, grab your Jon Gruden bowl-cut wig and let's get started, shall we?
