2011 NFL Draft Results: Summarizing Rounds 1-3 for the Philadelphia Eagles

With the first three rounds in the books, let’s take a look at the Philadelphia Eagles’ selections.

In the first round the Eagles selected Danny Watkins, 6’3", 310-pound offensive lineman out of Baylor University.

Last season, Eagles quarterbacks were sacked 49 times, Watkins was brought in to make sure that didn’t happen again.

In the second round the Eagles selected Jaiquawn Jarrett, 5’11", 198-pound safety out of Temple University. Jarrett made 72 tackles, two interceptions, and a forced fumble last season.

In the third round the Eagles traded with Baltimore, exchanging their 85th pick for the Ravens' 90th selection and getting the Ravens sixth-round pick, the 191st overall.

By moving into the third round, the Eagles drafted Curtis Marsh, 6’1", 198-pound cornerback out of Utah State. Marsh made 45 tackles and two interceptions.

Rounds 4-7 of the NFL Draft start tomorrow at noon central standard time.
