Johnny Patrick to New Orleans Saints: 2011 NFL Draft Scouting Report

Johnny Patrick was a four-year starter at cornerback for the University of Louisville and earned an invite to the 2011 Senior Bowl in Mobile, Alabama. An injury forced Patrick out of the game, but the Deland, FL native recovered in time for the Combine in February.

Patrick performed well in position drills, but a disappointing 40-yard dash time (4.59) raised questions about his top end speed.

A solid performance at his pro day has Patrick’s stock on the rise, and he has the size (5’11", 190 lbs.) that scouts look for in corners. Couple that with a productive college career, and Patrick should be a solid third round pick.
