The 2011 NFL Draft is well under way and so far there have been some eyebrow raising picks to say the least.
Some picks have gone according to what the experts believed would happen, while some picks, like the whole Da’Quan Bowers scenario, has left experts wondering what teams were thinking.
The Christian Ponder selection at No. 12 by the Minnesota Vikings seems like it’ll be the poster boy for the farthest reach in this 2011 NFL Draft, but there are bound to be plenty more teams who reach out just a little too far for a prospect.
It’s common for a team to jump the gun on drafting a prospect they want but are unsure of how long he will last on the board, but during this year’s draft, I feel there has been more reaching than in past years.
While some of these selections could be justified on many accounts, it’s time to see which teams have aced or failed their draft thus far, by reaching too far for a prospect.
