2011 NFL Draft Grades: Tampa Bay Buccaneers Draft Clemson DE Da'Quan Bowers
TAMPA BAY BUCCANEERS DRAFT DA'QUAN BOWERS
Pick: With the 51st pick in the 2011 NFL Draft, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers select Clemson defensive end
Analysis: Finally, Bowers is off the board! With this pick they got arguably the most dominant player in the draft and certainly the best pass rusher. Remember just a couple months ago Bowers was being mocked to the Carolina Panthers with that top selection and rightfully so after leading the nation with 15.5 sacks last season.
With that, the Buccaneers will be able to improve their pedestrian pass rush which ranked 30th in the NFL last season. Just like last year with defensive tackles, they double dipped at a position after taking Adrian Clayborn last night. The two should wreck havoc off the edge because when healthy they are forced to reckon with.
And you've got to think that he's motivated after such a free fall like this.
Draft Grade: B
