Manny Pacquiao: Freddie Roach Says There's No Way Pacquiao Loses to Mosley
For all his fury in the boxing ring, Manny Pacquiao is a fairly quiet guy. You rarely see much braggadocio from the WBO welterweight champion.
Mostly, that comes from his ultra-confident trainer, Freddie Roach, who said Thursday there is no way Pacquiao will lose to Shane Mosley when the two fight on May 7 in Las Vegas.
"I don't think we can lose this fight," Roach said, according to GMA News. "I think we’re in great shape and we’ve got a great game plan to pull it off."
Ironically, Mosley is one of Roach's closest friends, so the trainer's enthusiasm and confidence is tempered somewhat.
"It's not going to be an easy fight. Shane does have knockout power. He's got one punch power. He knocked down guys from rounds 1 to 12," said Roach.
