It feels like Christmas, Thanksgiving, whatever your favorite holiday is. The 2011 NFL draft is finally upon us. In less than one hour, we put an end to the speculation, rumors and mock drafting. In less than an hour we find out who 31 teams (good job, Oakland) will select to help them improve their franchise and win the coveted Super Bowl.
All eyes are on the Carolina Panthers who have the No. 1 overall selection. This is a difficult selection for new head coach Ron Rivera, as this will follow him for the rest of his career. We expect the pick to be Auburn's Heisman and National Championship winning quarterback Cam Newton. There are concerns with Cam, but he will put butts in the stands and sell a ton of jerseys.
Newton is the star, but there are up to seven quarterbacks who could be selected in the first round alone, in Missouri's Blaine Gabbert, Washington's Jake Locker, Arkansas' Ryan Mallett, TCU's Andy Dalton, Florida State's Christian Ponder and Nevada's Colin Kaepernick.
Will Mark Ingram crack the first round? Are running backs even relevant anymore?
How far will Da'Quan Bowers fall? Who else will face the devastating draft day tumble?
How rowdy will the New York audience be this year during the NFL lockout?
How on point has Mel Kiper, Todd McShay and the rest of the top respected draft experts been in their mock drafts?
I'll have up to the second live updates, results, grades and analysis throughout the draft night. Don't forget to comment and leave your opinion on what's going on during the draft!
