Will there be movement or will the NFC East shake things up?
The NFL draft has arrived and Dallas, Washington, Philadelphia and the New York Giants definitely have major holes to address. The Cowboys need a corner, but could also use improvements on the offensive line. Washington needs offensive line help, a wide receiver, and a nose tackle. The Eagles also need to protect Michael Vick better and New York's offensive line is wearing down as well.
Entering today's big day, though, there have been countless rumors about three of these teams. Dallas has been rumored to move up and move down, now allegedly dealing with New England. Washington's also been rumored to move up for Blaine Gabbert, even though it makes sense for them to trade down. Philadelphia had also been rumored to move up to Buffalo's pick, but that obviously didn't happen since the Bills took Marcell Dareus.
Let me say this upfront before these four teams pick:
Something tells me Dallas will trade down and gain an extra pick, but take Tyron Smith (pictured).
I think Washington will also trade down and take Jake Locker. Don't like it, but just a hunch.
Philadelphia will bulk up its offensive line.
I think New York should too, but watch Mark Ingram. If the Alabama running back is still there, I bet the G-Men take him.
We'll give out grades right here over the coming days. Give me your opinion. Let's mix it up. Feel free to weigh in with your opinions on the other NFC East teams, too (try and keep it clean).
The wait is over. Let's see who's wise and who bombs.
