2011 NFL Draft Results Gives Texans Explosive Pass Rusher

2011 NFL Draft Results Houston Texans Pick No. 11: J.J. Watt, DE/OLB, Wisconsin

The addition of Watt makes the Houston Texans instantly better. At 6'5", 290 lbs he's a very big force with elite explosion as a pass-rusher.

Houston brought in Wade Phillips as the defensive coordinator and Watt's is expected to play the end in his 3-4 scheme.

Watt's combination of size and strength make him one of the best prospects at his position.  With the Texans being one of the worst pass defenses in the league, adding Watt for his ability to pressure the passer makes logical sense.

His non-stop motor and toughness will be a good addition to Houston's revamped defense.
