2011 NFL Mock Draft: Seattle Seahawks Draft Alabama RB Mark Ingram 25th Overall
It's Draft Day and the 2011 NFL Draft will begin tonight at 8 P.M. EST. The Seattle Seahawks hold the 25th overall pick in the draft and here's my prediction on what they will do with it.
Well, no mock draft I've read has Mark Ingram to the Seahawks and Todd McShay doesn't even list running back as a need but that's extremely puzzling in my mind. After all, they had the 2nd worst rushing attack in the NFL.
That is why I have them taking Alabama running back Mark Ingram.
After watching Marshawn Lynch run all over the New Orleans Saints defense in their Wild Card upset, this may be a bit of a shocker.
However, look at what they did against the Bears in the Divisional Round as their 6.3 YPC average from the week before faltered to a mere 2.8 which is a lot closer to their regular season 3.8.
So, you can't deny it that running back is a need and it's been proven time after time that a reliable ground game is a quarterback's best friend.
Alabama RB Mark Ingram (Jr.) 2010 Stats: 875 Yards, 5.5 YPC, 13 Touchdowns, 0 Fumbles
Other Possibility: Temple DT Muhammed Wilkerson
