Pacquiao vs. Mosley: Veteran Referee Bayless Tabbed as Third Man in the Ring
Veteran referee Kenny Bayless has been tabbed as the third man in the ring for the May 7 super-fight between Manny Pacquiao and Shane Mosley in Las Vegas.
Both men should feel comfortable with Bayless in the ring. Bayless has worked Pacquiao's fights against Juan Manuel Marquez, Ricky Hatton and Miguel Cotto, and last year did the Mosley-FLoyd Mayweather bout. He also officiated Mayweather vs. Oscar de la Hoya, so he's certainly no stranger to mega-fights.
"I'm always excited when I get chosen to do a fight of this magnitude. Again, it lets me know that my work is admired and appreciated. To get this fight is an honor in a way," he told Examiner.com.
Pacquiao and Mosley will square off for the WBO welterweight title. Pacquiao, if he wins, has already committed to a third fight against Marquez in October.
