2011 NFL Draft Results: Winner -- New York Giants and the Prince
Corey Liuget, the defensive tackle for Illinois, was taken by the San Diego Chargers, and suddenly the New York Giants, at No. 19, had a dilemma.
Do they go for cornerback Prince Amukumara, for whom the partisan crowd at Radio City Music Hall was just chanting?
Or do they go for 2009 Heisman Trophy winner Mark Ingram of Alabama?
Hmmm. Tough call. Brandon Jacobs isn't getting any younger at running back for the Giants, and their top back, Ahmad Bradshaw, is a potential free agent.
Me? I would have went for Ingram.
But the G-Men went for Prince. Really, you can't go wrong either way. Good cover corners can usually step in and play right away, so not a bad choice at all.
