2011 NFL Draft Results: Mike Pouncey to the Dolphins, SEC Owns the Draft

The Miami Dolphins have just selected Florida center/guard Mike Pouncey with the No. 15 pick in the draft.

Gotta question that pick -- not that Pouncey isn't good. He is. But who's he going to block for? The Dolphins passed on a quarterback when they have obvious QB problems when Chad Henne is your quarterback.

Instead of pulling the trigger on Ryan Mallett or Andy Dalton, Miami went with the blocker and maybe sent their current QB a message that says, "Hey, we'll get you some help."

In the meantime, if you ever wonder why the SEC is the dominant conference in the country, look at the draft. That's 15 picks in the book, and almost half -- seven of them -- are from the SEC.
