2011 NFL Draft Results: Winner -- Detroit Lions Take Auburn's Nick Fairley
If you're a Detroit Lions fan, you must be doing cartwheels.
After years of being plagued -- literally, it was like THE plague -- by Matt Millen's draft choices, after years of wondering just how many wide receivers it takes to fill a roster, the Lions took Auburn defensive lineman Nick Fairley.
Yeah, think about that Lions fans.
Fairley this year, to be teamed with last year's No. 1 draft pick, Ndamukong Suh, on the D in the D.
Now add in Kyle Vanden Bosch, the anchor to that front four, and, wow, that's a pretty good defensive front, especially for a franchise that has been mired in -- no, not mediocrity, that would be too kind -- but mired in disaster for years.
