2011 NFL Draft Rumors: Cincinnati Bengals Looking to Select Andy Dalton
NFL Draft Rumors Indicating Cincinnati Bengals will Pair Andy Dalton and A.J. Green
In the first round of the 2011 NFL Draft, the Cincinnati Bengals selected A.J. Green to start the rebuilding process for the Bengals offense.
In the second round, there is a good chance the Bengals will address their need at the QB position. With Carson Palmer all but out of the equation for the Bengals, they will need to land Andy Dalton or bring in a free agent QB.
According to NFL Network's Jason La Canfora, the Bengals are focused on selecting Andy Dalton at the top of the second round.
"The Bengals have displayed strong interest in Dalton throughout the process and have him targeted in the second round. I don't expect him to last past that spot. Dalton also is high on the Redskins' list."
The Bengals should have no problem securing the TCU QB unless the Redskins do try to make a play to move up and select Dalton. However, as things stand now the Cincinnati Bengals will be in a complete rebuilding mode as they will have a new star WR, and a new star QB to lead the offensive charge next season.
If the Bengals are able to land Dalton, things will have gone according to plan for the Bengals, as they could not ask for much more.
