2011 NFL Draft Rumors: Kiper States Ryan Mallett Could Fall to Third Round
2011 NFL Draft Rumors Indicate That Ryan Mallett Could Fall to Third or Fourth Round According to Mel Kiper and Todd McShay
On April 26th ESPN NFL Draft Gurus Mel Kiper and Todd McShay took to the airwaves to discuss Arkansas QB Ryan Mallett. The discussion likely didn't go the direction in which Ryan Mallett would have liked, as both insiders both stated that Ryan Mallett could enter into a draft day free-fall of epic proportions.
Mel Kiper led the charge as he came out with this statement centered around Ryan Mallett's draft stock,
"I heard from people in the league that have told me don't be surprised if drops to the 4th round." While McShay added, "I've heard the same thing, and it has 100% to do with character."
This report would be horrible news to Ryan Mallett as he was projected to be a Top 15 pick at one point. Mallett has the arm to be a great NFL QB, of course there have been concerns about his mobility, but that would never push him lower than the middle of the second round.
In a year when as many as six QBs could go in the first round of the draft, it would be an absolute shock to see Mallett fall out of the first two rounds of the NFL Draft.
