The 2012 NFL draft is full of talent at cornerback, but Janoris Jenkins could be the very best of them all.

Unfortunately, he may be throwing away this opportunity as we speak. Jenkins was arrested (for the second time) on marijuana-related charges Saturday and was kicked off the Florida football team Tuesday.

This draft is how I think the first round should play out as of right now. In a few months, you will probably will not see Jenkins’s name anywhere near the first round of mock drafts.

Regardless, Houston desperately needs defensive backs. Kareem Jackson had a rough rookie season last year for the Texans and needs another cornerback to help him out.

Jenkins has what it takes to be this guy. But being a year removed from football will hurt drastically hurt his draft stock.

It will be interesting to see what happens to Jenkins over the next few months.
