In just 24 hours, all the hard work put in for the last year by prospects, scouts, general managers, agents and coaches is going to come to a head.
That’s right, the NFL draft is finally here.
It’s the chance to find a franchise-changing player for each team.
For the Indianapolis Colts, that search starts with the No. 22 pick in the first round.
Despite a rather uninspired season for the Colts, they won the AFC South and advanced to the playoffs for the ninth straight season. However, they seemed to be doing it with smoke and mirrors for much of the season, and were promptly bounced out of the playoffs by the New York Jets in the first round.
The Colts have some major holes on the roster. Those need to be addressed before the team can be considered a contender again. Sure, they have Peyton Manning, but he can’t do it all on his own.
Stay tuned here through the weekend for updates on the Colts’ picks and what it means for the franchise in each case.
