In just 24 hours, all the hard work put in for the last year by prospects, scouts, general managers, agents and coaches is going to come to a head.

That’s right, the draft is finally here.

It’s the chance to find a franchise-changing player for each team.

For the Houston Texans, that search starts with the No. 11 pick in the first round.

The Texans are finishing up their first decade in the NFL, and they do so with little more than a whimper. Since they came into the league in 2002, the Texans have not made the playoffs and have not won more than nine games.

This could be the draft that puts them over the top, or it could just indicate the time for a change in leadership.

Either way, the Texans will be a team to pay attention to come draft day.

Stay tuned here through the weekend for updates on the Texans’ picks and what it means for the franchise in each case.
