On a Career Day For RB Jones, Jets Improve To 3-2

The final score on the day was 26-14 as the New York Jets beat a Cincinnati Bengals team without starting QB Carson Palmer. However, the day undoubtedly belonged to Jets RB Thomas Jones.

Not only did Jones eclipse his total TD total of last season in a single game, but it was also his first 3 TD game of his career (2 rushing, 1 receiving).

The Jets were able to win despite 3 Brett Favre turnovers (1 fumble, 2 INTs). You only have to hope that this is the beginning of a good run for the Jets as 3 of their 4 next opponents have a combined 3-12 record (the Raiders, the Chiefs and the Rams). Before the Rams, they meet the Buffalo Bills who currently lead the AFC East.

With the Miami Dolpins losing on a last minute TD ran to the Houston Texans, am sure all you Jets fans are looking forward to LaDainian Tomlinson and the San Diego Chargers exact some much needed revenge on the New England Patriots on Sunday Night Football.

If there was ever a better opportunity to emerge as contenders in the AFC East, it is right now and we hope the Jets make every use of it.
