Kentucky Lands Big Time Commitment For Next Season
The University of Kentucky got a huge addition to next year's recruiting class on Sunday.
Still on his official campus visit and after Friday's Big Blue Midnight Madness, Top 25 player/center, Daniel Orton committed to play for the Cats next year.
Citing from his announcement on Sunday, Orton said that the fans and current players helped make his mind up.
“Everybody told me that the fans were crazy about basketball; that really sealed the decision,” Orton said and reported to the Herald-Leader newspaper.
On Friday night at Midnight Madness, many of the some 23,000 fans were heard, (and as I myself,) chanting Daniel Orton's name.
Billy Gillispie has proven that he is the savior for the winningest program in college basketball history.
He has proven that he can get the big time recruits that former coach, Tubby Smith, couldn't.
It is showing that he is bringing UK back to elite status and ready to take on the world and the NABC if needed.
The next step is the great eight—which would be Kentucky's eighth championship.
